Swiss Heritage Society will hold their annual meeting (gathering) at 7 PM on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, in the auditorium of Swiss Village, 1350 West Main St., Berne. The meeting is open to all Swiss Heritage Society members, volunteers and financial supporters, as well as anyone interested in our mission to spark and sustain an interest in the cultural heritage of Berne and southern Adams County by promoting learning through discovery.
During a brief business meeting, reports will be presented on the financial position of our not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization, the availability of our third commemorative silver coins featuring the historic Baumgartner Church, planned renovation of our indoor museum and a presentation by two of our docents on visitations during 2011. In addition, new board members Debbie Neuenschwander, Phil Provost and Kalla Caffee will be introduced.
Following the business meeting, entertainment will be provided by Matt and Darren Drayer, ancestors of the owners of the Hartman Cheese House at Swiss Heritage Village. The Drayer brothers will discuss cheese making and sing some songs about the art of cheesemaking.
